Boracay Island

This is island is home to the world famous White Beach, which is considered one of bests in the world. The island also offer a fun night life for people who likes to party. This will be a fun destination for beach lovers and party animals alike.

Bohol

You can the world’s smallest primate, the Tarsier, in this Visayan Island. The ever famous Chocolate Hills can also be found here. Take the city tour to have a peek at this province’s history and after that, travel to Panglao or Anda to relax in their beautiful white san beaches.
Palawan
Palawan is home to the world famous Subterranean River. This national park will let you in on an enchanting journey to caves with beautiful limestone landscape, stalactite and stalagmite formations, mountain-to-sea ecosystem, with all these while you’re cruising along an underground river.

Tagaytay City

Tagaytay City has become a popular destination for tourists for it’s close proximity to Manila. The Taal Volcano and Lake Taal is the most popular destination in Tagytay City. You can ride a boat from Tagaytay to reach the volcano’s island. After that, you will ride a horse to reach the top of the mountain. When you’ve reached the top, then you will be able to see smoke coming out and bubbling water on the edges of the lake inside the volcano’s crater. You can also take a boat ride in the lake and enjoy the scenic view of the valley.

So those are my top recommendation for all of you who are thinking of touring the Philippines. Remember, there are 7,107 islands. So don’t limit yourself on those mentioned above. Pack your bags and get ready to explore, marvel, and discover!

The Philippines are a vibrant place with their own style of music. But you can also access many other types of music from the Philippines, including hip hop and rock, thanks to internet FM Philippines radio.

The music of the Philippines is a diverse mixture of the original music of the islands, along with European, Asian, and American and Latin American influence. The traditional music reflects the common peoples’ lives, and it’s more influenced by rural than urban folk music.

The overall radio music scene in the Philippines is a lot like the country itself, in that the music has been influenced a great deal by all the culture that has been brought there. Traditional music may be Western or non-Western in nature, and each indigenous form shows the culture of the group that originated it.

Internet radio brings the songs of the Philippines to you, many types of music that are different than the styles that are native to the area.

Internet radio has been in use since the 1990′s. It has undergone many changes, including advances in technology. You can find out the hours when your favorite Philippine disc jockey will be on the air, and the songs he or she will be playing at the time.

Philippines Radio can now be heard all over the globe, and music that originated in other areas can be heard in the Philippines. The radio stations are also helpful in providing weather and news reports, and talk shows.

Streaming radio is an important platform for locals to keep their ear to the music and news that is important to them. Likewise, it can keep people in other countries aware of the music and news of the Philippines. Advertisers on internet Philippines Radio can get their messages across to people that are interested in their products and services, not just locally but to a worldwide market.

Philippines radio music appeals to a wide variety of listeners, whether your preferred music is rock, hip hop, dance or reggae. While younger users will use internet radio more than older users, the stations can offer advertising advantages for all age groups.

If you enjoy the music of the Philippines, or if you live in the Philippines and want to access the various types of music in your area, online radio can help keep you connected.

To start the process of incorporation, Philippines has two distinct forms of business ownership. There is the sole proprietorship business and in order to get this going, you will have to apply for a business name and register at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The other form is a partnership, which will require you to come up with 3,000 Philippine pesos or more in capital. After getting this done, you must register with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). Moving along in the process, you will find that there is a lot more involved when you decide to open a business in Philippines. Once your business is established under the Corporation Code and SEC registered, you will need to get five incorporators together. These five individuals you get should own share of the corporation and have 5,000 pesos in minimum paid-up capital.

After getting your deposit certificate from the bank verifying your paid up capital and your registered name from the SEC, you will need a CTC (Community Tax Certificate) in order to obtain Barangay clearance. This form needs to be filed in the place where you plan to set up and engage in business activities. This step is then followed by applying for a permit and municipal license from the local Mayor’s office licensing section. All this really is proof that you have the wherewithal to conduct your business legally and pay the necessary taxes during the applicable time.

Once this step has been hurdled, expect to receive an inspection visit from the Mayor’s office. They will be checking to see if your corporation is in order and you are conducting your business in the correct manner. You will receive a license and permit to operate once you pass and will be required to purchase special accounting books from the local bookstore. These are used for cash receipts and disbursements.

Completing this step will lead you to the next one which will require you to register for VAT (Value Added Tax) and other local and municipal taxes your corporation will be liable for. You will also need BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) permit to print additional sales receipts and invoices, as well as authorization for the use of electronic accounting software and non-government issued accounting ledgers.

These are some of the key steps to take when you decide to set up your business for incorporation. Philippines has a lot of good consulting firms you can hire should you need further clarification on how to get into the local business market.

The Philippines is made up of 7107 islands, with a population around 100 million. Tagalog was made the national language of the Philippines in 1937 and was given the title Pilipino and later Filipino to make it a more acceptable language for the whole of the Filipino people. Now for anyone travelling to the Philippines the first time, they might do a little research and find Filipino language books, and before you know it, learn a little of the language. While it is true that Filipino/Tagalog is taught in all schools in the Philippines, it is only the 1st language for about 25 million people, who in the majority live in the north of the Philippines around Manila.

Additional 25 million people living in central and south speak a little Cebuano / Bisaya. Another 11 million speak Hiligaynon / Illongo, and a Waray-Waray 3,400,000 say, etc. ….

Now you might be thinking that speaking Filipino might serve you well everywhere in the Philippines, because for example you can order food, and ask questions, however you won`t understand the locals because they will be speaking their own dialects. If like me you are married to a Filipina, you career can even be able to understand the in-laws.

Research well, and think about where you will be visiting most often. For instance for me the Central region otherwise known as the Visayas means my knowledge of Cebuano serves me exceedingly well. I understand a lot of the local speech on the main islands of Cebu, Leyte, Bohol and many more places. Of course each area has slight dialects, but they are easier to overcome than entirely various languages.

To give a real idea of the intensity in learning to speak to all Filipino`s, you would have to learn more than 20 languages that are not necessarily interchangeable. You will find words that are the same from one language to another, but even the grammar is different for most of these languages. You will also find that the Cebuano language is where many other languages came from, for example Hiligaynon and Waray-Waray but they have many different words now, and the way words are pronounced have also changed.

So, here are the main languages you can expect to hear: Aklanon, Bicolano, Boholano, Cebuano, Cuyonon, Hiligaynon, Ifugao, Ilocano, Itbayat, Ivatan, Kalinga, Kamayo, Kankana-ey, Kinaray-a, Kapampangan, Maguindanao, Maranao, Masbatenyo, Pangasin, Romblomanon, Surigaonon, Tagalog, Tausug, Waray-Waray, Yakan. Most of these language have over 100,000 native speakers, so they are not incidental by any means.

The culture of the Philippines is based mainly on the various native religious groups, which have different cultural backgrounds and traditions. The culture of the Philippines is greatly influenced by the Chinese and American cultures as well as those of other countries. The Hispanic influence on the Filipino culture is the result of the Mexican and Spanish cultures as a result of colonial rule.

Every year the citizens of the Philippines host major festivities that are known as the Barrio Fiesta. This fiesta honors all the patron saints of different towns, villages, and regional districts and is celebrated by ceremonies that are held in the church followed by street parades in honor of the saints. There are various contests that include dancing and singing, and cockfight tournaments before the grand finale of the fireworks.

The Chinese also influence the Filipino culture to a large extent, and this is clearly evident in the Filipino cuisines. The locals here have termed the famous Chinese noodles as Mami. Other dishes like meat and other foodstuffs also reflect the influence of the Chinese cuisine. The influence of the Chinese culture in the Philippines is reflected in the fact that citizens occasionally use Chinese surnames, and some are proficient in speaking the language as well.

Over a century ago, the American culture began having a relative influence on the Philippines. The frequent use of the English language in the Philippines is due to the American culture influence. The American culture has also increased the demand for fast food and its chains have spread all over the Philippines. Filipinos have also started listening to the latest American music, taken to watching American movies, dancing to the American tunes, and also started fancying Hollywood actors. The basic principal of the Filipino people is to follow their moral values and to respect their elders and family members. These qualities help them grow into better human beings and have a friendly and pleasing personality.

Much of the world today is highly dependent on fossil fuels to run their economies. Highly industrialized nations have never put a cap on how much they can really take before they suffer the consequences. The global community will experience a head-on collision with mother nature eventually if international leaders cannot come up with a realistic solution to global warming

We have already faced the effects of global warming and yet we are still turning a blind eye on what is happening today. The devastating results of 3 typhoons in the Philippines in 2009 alone brought billions of pesos in damages to public property as well as placing undue pressure on the local economy. Now, power outages and rotating brownouts are threatening the entire Luzon economic scene and the Metro Manila financial hub.

There are, however, many ways to alternative sources of energy it is just that we are unwilling to develop it. The petroleum giants are not willing to put their resources to build, improve, and market renewable energy because, obviously, they do not really care. These multi-billion dollar companies are just so greedy that they do not realize the potential disaster they will face in the near future.

Real estate developers should also look into energy-efficient homes. These so-called eco-friendly homes are the trend of the future. Solar panel installed rooftops is feasible. We can save more on electric bills by utilizing solar energy. Water recycling can also be doable as long as our government and its citizenry are willing to set their minds on it. Extensive waste management and recycling should also be our primary goals. At the forefront of our economy of the future are ideas like these.

It has been four decades since we began to look for renewable energy. The plan to find other sources of energy brought about by the energy crises, inflation, and the rising price of oil in the early 70′s has been going on for more than forty years, but this project has not yet been fully realized by the global industry. The potential large-scale application of this plan might yet be feasible for years to come.

Are you looking for exciting man-made attractions that’s unique and creative? The Philippines is an archipelago made up of about 7,100 islands. This archipelago country is located in Southeast Asia. From the world’s largest bamboo organ to rice terraces to a walled city within a city, here’s a list of these unique and spectacular sites:

1. Intramuros

This walled “city” is located in Manila. It served as a walled settlement of the Spaniards during their occupation of the country and, as such, has its own museums as well as churches and wonderful ruins. Today, this well-preserved Intramuros is one of the visited places in the Philippines.

2. Rizal Park

Also called Luneta, this is a very good place if you want a leisurely walk. This park is dedicated to the Philippines’ national hero, Jose Rizal, who was not only a poet but a very good writer during the Spanish era, and this was also the place where he was executed. Now, this is a popular place for picnics.

3. Baywalk

This is a walking distance from the Rizal Park. You can find here numerous restaurants and bars offering wonderful foods and drinks. This is also a nice place to stroll along as well as listen to the many bands that play at night.

4. Mount Pinatubo

This majestic volcano that wreaked havoc in the lives of Filipinos during the early 1990s is located in Pampanga. Here, you can take guided hikes on some parts of its slope. You can also take a refreshing dip in Pinatubo’s crater lake.

5. Nayong Pilipino

If you want to tour famous destinations of the Philippines in one spot, then visit Nayong Pilipino. This cultural park has a miniature Philippine Islands including some of the beautiful spots of the country. You can also buy here some native foods as well as souvenirs.

6. Camp John Hay

When you visit Baguio, the country’s summer capital, be sure to visit also Camp John Hay. This used to be an American Military area but was later given to the Philippine government. Now, it is a recreational center with golf club, and it also offers horseback riding as well as camping.

7. Boracay

Boracay Island is located in the Visayas Region. What this beautiful island offers is its majestic white sand beaches. This is a popular tourist destination of not only the locals but the foreigners as well, and there are a lot of activities here like the usual water sports as well as trendy bars and discos during summertime.

8. Mount Apo

This magnificent mountain can be found in Davao. Here, you can go nature tripping as well as hiking. You will also see here the Philippine Eagle, which is said to be one of the biggest eagles of the world.

9. Mayon Volcano

This wonderful and perfectly cone-shaped volcano can be found in Bicol. What makes this a major tourist spot is that you will find here the bell tower of an old church that was buried when it erupted during the early 1800s, and also, with that major eruption, it buried the Cagsawa town. Now, this is a must-see when you visit the Philippines, and you can also buy your souvenirs here as well as the famous pili nut candy.

Filipino music and art have both been influenced by the cultures that have migrated to this nation. The first type of music that developed in the Philippines was indigenous music brought here by native tribes that migrated from Taiwan. There are three basic groups of indigenous music styles: southern styles, northern styles and other styles. The southern style of music usually involves five different instruments including the kulintang, the agung, the gangdinagan, the dabakan and the babedil. The northern styles of indigenous music reflect Asian gong music. Their music usually features the unbossed gong called the Gangsa.

Hispanic cultures from Spain and Mexico have greatly influenced the development of Filipino music. These cultures have introduced musical forms like the Harana the Kundiman and Rondalla. Most of these music forms developed as a result of the fusion between tribal music styles and traditional Spanish and Mexican music. Today the influence of Spain and Mexico is still present in modern Filipino music. Modern popular music in the Philippines still has a Hispanic flavor.

Filipino Art has its roots in indigenous traditions and colonial imports. Like most cultures, the Philippines have their own style of plastic arts like sculpture and painting. However, they also have their own style of movement arts like dancing. Some of the most notable artists from the Philippines include Fernando Amorsolo, David Cortes Medalla, Nunelucio Alvardao, Juan Luna, Felix Hidalgo and Rey Paz Contreras.

Today artists from the Philippines are still making waves in the art world. This area now produces sculptures in stone, wood, cement, plastics and mixed media. Art lovers who travel to the Philippines can find both traditional and contemporary pieces that will compliment just about any décor. If you love the look and feel of Filipino sculptures, but are unable to travel to the Philippines to pick out art pieces for your home or office, then you can browse through several online galleries that specialize in Filipino art.
